Bala is a General Practitioner in Staffordshire. She is a women’s health enthusiast & BMS (British Menopause Society) accredited Menopause Specialist and BMS trainer.
Bala is the co-author of a book on menopause which offers a lot of practical advice, case studies, and digital aids. She has done Menopause Awareness Campaigns in local community at libraries and in house for staff at hospitals.
Bala has a passion for teaching & training. She is currently working with Health Education England as a Training Programme Director for North Staffordshire. She also supervises the Keele University medical students who are placed in the practice.
Bala has taken up a role as Perinatal Mental Health Champion for Staffordshire & Stoke on Trent ICS. She is keen to educate & train health care professionals in primary care in recognising & supporting mental illness during pregnancy.
She enjoys listening to music & going on countryside walks.
