Dr. Tamara Brown is a dedicated physiotherapy lecturer with a background in Occupational Health. She recently led the project “Exploring Physiotherapists’ Perspectives on Using the Fit Note in Practice,” drawing on her practical and academic experience. As an early career researcher, Dr. Brown focuses on Vocational Rehabilitation and has developed a cost-benefit analysis tool through her PhD to assess its impact. Her clinical experience informs her research, which includes projects like the Work for Health Programme (2016), Health Work Conversations (2016), Working With Cancer Service Evaluation for Durham City Council (2013), and a feasibility study on reducing sickness absence through physiotherapy (2012).
