Susan joined the Met Office in 2021 as the Equality, Diversity & Inclusion Specialist Partner. In this role, Susan collaborates with colleagues across the organisation to integrate diversity and inclusion into everyday work practices. With over 12 years of experience in equality and diversity roles, Susan has made significant contributions to various public bodies, including local authorities and the NHS. She has been instrumental in shaping and implementing strategies that foster diversity and inclusion. Before this, as a qualified Community and Youth Worker, Susan worked with a range of diverse communities and community organisations, helping them develop the skills and confidence needed to bring about change and create vibrant, self-sustaining communities. Susan is passionate about involving people and emphasizes the importance of listening to their stories and experiences.
