Stuart is a director of the National Association of Disabled Staff Networks and is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and Institute of Equality and Diversity Practitioners. Following roles at the Cabinet Office, Business Disability Forum, and Health Education England, Stuart joined NHS England in 2019. Stuart was formerly the National Lead of the NHS Workforce Disability Equality Standard, which aims to advance inclusion for disabled NHS staff. Most recently, Stuart has worked as the EDI Lead within Education and Training. Stuart is a published researcher on themes relating to workforce equalities, accessibility and inclusion. Despite a speech impairment, Stuart is an experienced public speaker. Notably, in 2020, Stuart presented at the Houses of Parliament on the theme of workplace equality reporting.
