Sean Lynch is Chief Executive of Citysave Credit Union and a respected leader in the UK’s community finance sector, with more than 15 years’ experience in credit unions and financial inclusion.

He began his career as a graduate at Citysave, working across all areas of the organisation before progressing to lead business operations. This operational experience, combined with strategic leadership, gives him a deep understanding of how community finance can deliver meaningful social impact.

Sean later joined the England Illegal Money Lending Team, investigating illegal lenders and supporting individuals affected by loan sharks, experience that reinforced his commitment to fair, ethical and accessible financial services.

Since returning to Citysave as Chief Executive in 2021, Sean has led the organisation’s continued focus on responsible lending, financial resilience and inclusive growth across the West Midlands.
