By their nature, chronic health conditions are persistent long-term conditions that can severely impact people's ability to work and quality of life. Health coaching can be an important addition to medical treatment for managing chronic health conditions and improving the quality of life of people living with those conditions. This session will look at the ways health coaching can impact people living with chronic health conditions. This includes increasing people's health-related self-efficacy, psychological flexibility, motivation and accountability. Perhaps most importantly, health coaching can empower people to take steps to improve their quality of life by treating them as a person, rather than a condition.
