Paula Holland

Dr Paula Holland

Senior Lecturer in Public Health, Lancaster University

Dr Paula Holland is a Senior Lecturer in Public Health at Lancaster University. Her research focusses on the relationship between work, disability and health; barriers to disabled people’s employment; and interventions to support disabled workers’ employment, including workplace adjustments. She is principal investigator on a study funded by the Nuffield Foundation which explores disabled people’s experiences of remote and hybrid working, including its impact on their job retention, progression and health, and how remote and hybrid working can be designed to be inclusive of disabled workers’ needs. Paula is a member of the Versus Arthritis/MRC Centre for Musculoskeletal Health and Work; her research funded by the Centre explored the support needs of disabled entrepreneurs, including their access to finance, peer mentorship and support for reasonable adjustments from the DWP Access to Work service.
