Melanie Steel, FCIPD Founder of People Change Expertise and an accomplished HR and Transformation Director, Melanie brings extensive experience leading people-centred change across FTSE 100 companies, private equity-backed organisations, and Central Government. She has partnered with senior leaders, politicians, and global brands to design and deliver major people transformations that enable organisations to thrive through change. Her projects include creating the HR function for ATPI, a global travel management company, and modernising the People Function at Arup in preparation for a new global people system. Before founding her business, Melanie held senior HR Director roles at Royal & Sun Alliance, the Cabinet Office, and the Department for Work and Pensions, following earlier transformation work at Unilever and the Ministry of Defence. Alongside her interim work, she also delivers HR programmes for the CIPD, the professional body for HR and people development.
