Katy joined Betknowmore UK in 2022 as a member of the training team with a remit of raising awareness of gambling harms within the workplace. Since then, she has been on a mission to position gambling harms on the workplace health & wellbeing agenda, engaging with HR, wellbeing leads and mental health champions to build their understanding of why this serious public health issue is one that is impacting their people and their businesses. This year her efforts with Worksafe were rewarded when the programme won Service Provider of the Year at the Great British Workplace Wellbeing Awards. Katy also accompanies her colleagues in community engagement and outreach activities, and leverages her previous experience as a CV writer to support people who have experienced gambling harms back into employment as part of their recovery.
