Emma Langman-Maher

Dr Emma Langman-Maher

Transformation Practice Lead, AECOM
Starting her career in Civil Engineering with a PhD in Systems Thinking, Emma has always understood the interplay between the world of work and health and well-being. From Engineering, she segued through an HR career, including leadership talent management for the multi-national retailer, Alshaya (employing112 nationalities) and closer to home with Waitrose. She led the change for a 24-7-365 control room for NEOM - The Line. In 2023, as part of her ADHD diagnosis, Emma learned that she is also Autistic. She has since integrated these into her identity and her work, culminating in the People & Culture Association's President's Award for Transforming Culture. In 2024 she was recognised by HR Magazine as one of the UK's Top HR Thinkers. She leads the transformation practice within Strategy+ (part of AECOM's strategic advisory service), advising major clients on culture & behaviour. She is married with 6 children and a dog and enjoys long walks!
