Dr Roger Cooke
Roger is an Occupational Medicine consultant who has worked for the National Coal Board, British Telecom, as Chief Medical Officer for GKN Plc and as a consultant in the NHS and honorary senior lecturer at Birmingham University Institute of Occupational and Environmental Medicine (IOEM). He continues to undertaking a full range of occupational health work as well as maintaining his particular interest in HAVS and upper limb problems. His medico-legal practice includes providing evidence for civil litigation and prosecutions relating to HAVS, CTS and other upper limb issues. He is author of Hand Arm Vibration Syndrome: a guide for occupational health practitioners, and has contributed to 12 other books including Hunter’s Disease of Occupations, the Oxford Handbook of Occupational Medicine and Fitness for Work, as well as being author of over 60 peer reviewed articles in medical journals.
