The Founder’s Journey: An Ongoing Evolution

Being a founder is all about evolution. You have the Eureka moment,  you figure out if and how to bring that to life, how to make it grow. It’s about learning, adapting, and always being open to feedback. Our journey started with a personal experience for me, but the reality that my experience was shared by millions of others built a community. It is the feedback from that community that has driven change and adaptation and new innovation . 

Listening Led to Innovation: The Birth of HyGeeni

Fabbers who share their stories, needs, and challenges with us have driven change within the world of Fab. Take FabLittleBag, it was created to solve the problem of period product disposal, I was a tampon user so at first that was what my focus was on and the bag size was designed with tampons in mind. Then came a customer request: ”please can you make FabLittleBag bigger, it’s not quite big enough for my pads” - D’oh , what was I thinking? Of course it needs to be big enough for pads!! So we made FablittleBag a bit bigger. 

Then came a conversation with a FabLittleBag user that sparked something entirely new (thanks Ali!) She told me about the daily challenges she faced needing to dispose of her catheters. “I’m sorry but what is a catheter” I recall saying - I was clueless. She kindly agreed to meet me for coffee and proceeded to open my eyes to a whole world out there where people are managing life with catheters and ostomy bags but where there was no fit for purpose disposal option. There was no dignity. That moment of listening led us to develop HyGeeni our plant-based, odour-sealing, one-handed disposal bag for stoma and incontinence needs.

From FabLittleBag to HyGeeni: The Birth of The FabBagCo

With two innovative solutions FabLittleBag and HyGeeni it became clear that our purpose was bigger than any single product. We’re not just a period product company or an incontinence solution. We’re The FabBagCo: the disposal bag company that helps people handle life’s awkward disposal moments with confidence, wherever they are, whatever their needs. To live life without limits.
