Closing the Disability Employment GAP - The UK's Only Blind, Female, CEO on Disability Inclusion in the Workplace
Today, only 25% of blind and partially sighted people of working age are in employment, compared with over 80% of the general population. Similarly, very few blind and partially sighted people currently sit in leadership roles. A diverse workforce and inclusive culture, where everyone feels they’re contributing and have a true sense of belonging is the goal of all DEI work. Drawing on her own experience, Sandi will explore the challenges and barriers faced by disabled people in the workforce and look at what employers and senior leaders can do to help overcome these and create inclusive workforces.
