The Use of AI in Manual Handling

11 Mar 2025
Musculoskeletal Health
Manual Handling (MMH) Ergo analyser is an innovative online training app, that uses artificial intelligence (AI) video technology to automatically provide ergonomics posture feedback to employees, as they perform manual handling tasks. This app extends manual handling training from the classroom, into the workplace, to reinforce skills on the job. The app can also be used to easily create and publish bespoke manual handling training video content. Short video clips of employees performing manual handling tasks can taken via an integrated mobile app, and loaded to the cloud based Human Focus learning management system, where AI analyses, and superimposes a three-dimensional musculoskeletal skeleton onto the video. The app automatically analyses good and bad postures, during the manual handling tasks, and provides ergonomics feedback. The entire process is handled via the Human Focus learning management system which provides automated publishing of the content and training tracking.
