This session will share the findings of primary research that has recently been completed, sharing both quantitative and qualitative perspectives from physiotherapists about their use of the fit note since UK legislation changed in July 2022 allowing physiotherapists to complete the fit note. The session will help physiotherapists, other healthcare professionals and employers understand the opportunities, facilitators, and challenges they may face in the working world, and identify the support, learning and development they may need. The final part of the session will include takeaway tips and resources for practitioners and line managers, HR professionals and similar roles that may come into contact with the fit note.
