Engagement as a Wellbeing Strategy: How Inclusive Workplaces Keep Britain Working

10 Mar 2026
Culture, Values and Engagement
This session explores how employee engagement directly supports health, wellbeing, and workforce participation — drawing on national data from the 2026 Engage for Success Annual Engagement Survey. The research demonstrates that engagement is not a “nice to have”, but a vital lever in tackling unmanageable job stress, improving inclusion for those with long-term health conditions or neurodivergence, and reducing economic inactivity. Key learning outcomes from the session include: - Understanding the evidence linking engagement, health, and wellbeing - Recognise how inclusive practices sustain employment for people with health conditions - Gain practical ideas for enabling wellbeing - Learn how to apply the Engage for Success Four Enablers framework to strengthen engagement
