Live Policy Making Session – How do we Create Meaningful Change in Workplace Health and Wellbeing

Future of Work

In this exclusive session, the Policy Liaison Group on Workplace Wellbeing is taking one of its Westminster roundtables out of Parliament and bringing it live to Health and Wellbeing at Work in Birmingham. Usually, these discussions bring together a small, invited group of policymakers, employers, and leading voices in workplace wellbeing. At the conference, we’re opening the doors. Joined by key policymakers and influencers, we’ll explore one central question: what needs to happen next to accelerate workplace wellbeing across the UK?

This is not a traditional conference panel. It is a live policy roundtable and a rare opportunity for anyone attending Health and Wellbeing at Work to contribute directly to the discussion and to the PLG’s work influencing the future direction of workplace wellbeing policy.

The discussion will be written up and publicly published, with its findings shared across the PLG’s Westminster network, including MPs, Ministers, government departments, charities, trade unions, think tanks and other organisations shaping the future of work.

The roundtable comes at an important point in the PLG’s work. Following our mandate from the Department for Work and Pensions earlier this year and our recent visit to 10 Downing Street, our engagement and influence across Westminster continues to grow.

By bringing the roundtable to Birmingham, we want to give the workplace wellbeing community something it rarely gets: the opportunity to sit inside a policy discussion rather than simply hear about one afterwards.

Come ready to contribute. What is said in the room will help inform the PLG’s continuing work to influence workplace wellbeing policy in the UK.
