Changing Workplace Practice Across the UK - How Can we Get More Employers to Take Action on Worker Health?
Government programmes like Keep Britain Working rely on employers doing more to support the health of their workers. However the issue remains that its mainly large employers who offer occupational health, with less than 1 in 5 SME’s having anything in place. Many workers in frontline roles, shift based roles or insecure work miss out. In this session we’ll explore how to engage more employers to take action on worker health – what messages land, what it takes to build a strong business case and what we can learn from other initiatives which have targeted a change in employer practice such as the Living Wage campaign.
